Lowell L. Little, age 87 of Salem, Indiana, passed away on Monday May 29, 2017 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana.
Lowell was born March 13, 1930 in Galva, Iowa to the late Alva and Pansy (Higgins) Little.
He married Bessie Mae Brickey of Salem on October 25, 1947 who survives.
Lowell was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church. Lowell enjoyed traveling, wood working, motorcycle riding, working his garden, eating out and spending time with his family and friends.
Lowell was the National General Manager of O.P. Link Handle Company, Inc. where he retired after 56 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Monte Little of Sellersburg, and Jimmy (JeanAnn) Little of Salem; daughter, Tammie (Ron) Lamb of Salem; daughter-in-law, Patty Little of Salem; 10 grandchildren, Shannon (Rhonda) of Salem, Tracy (Jeff) Day of Salem, Doug (Tara) Little of Salem, Jason (Sarah) Little of Arizona, Lance (Jill) Little of Salem, Monica Little of Jeffersonville, Laura Motsinger of Salem, Katie (Shawn) Fike of Kentucky, Kaitlyn Lamb of Salem, and Christian Lamb of North Carolina; 27 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Lowell is also survived by 2 sisters, Mary Jo Durbin of California, and Nancy Rassel of Iowa.
He was preceded in death by 1 son, Larry Little; grandson, Rich Little; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Friday and Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
