Lori Lynn (Smith) Abbott

Lori Lynn Abbott, age 66, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital.  Born April 11, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Barbara (Kish) Smith.  On July 11, 1975, she married David Abbott, who survives.

Lori is survived by her husband, David; 2 sons: Jason Ryan Abbott and Stephen Floyd Abbott; 3 brothers: Danny Smith, Gary Smith and David Smith; and 2 grandchildren: Brittany Long and Samantha Abbott.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth & Barbara Smith, and her sister, Debbie.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 8, at 11 am at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home – Salem Chapel.  Visitation will be on Friday, June 7, from 4 to 8 pm, and Saturday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
