Lawrence "Larry" Dick

Lawrence "Larry" J. Dick, age 84, of Salem, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026, in New Albany. Born September 7, 1941, in Jasper, he was the son of the late Linus and Frances (Henke) Dick. On August 15, 1970, Larry was united in marriage to Diana.

Larry was a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Throughout his life, he was actively involved in his community and was a past member of the Salem Lions Club and the Salem Moose Lodge. Larry also previously served as a board member for Lifespring, where he dedicated his time and efforts to supporting others and making a positive impact in the community. After a long and dedicated career, Larry retired from Kimball International in Borden. Larry especially enjoyed spending time gardening, watching sports, playing cards and fishing.

Larry is survived by his wife, Diana Dick along with their four daughters: Christine (Scott) Lubbers, Kimberly Dick (Josh Anderson), Melissa Dick and Jackie (Randy) Irwin; four sisters: Carol Stork, Bonnie Pascoe, Ruth Huelsman and Janet Sendelweck; and two grandchildren: Madalyn and Landon Irwin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Linus and Frances Dick.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the St Patrick's Catholic Church in Salem. Visitation will be held Friday morning at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service with burial to follow at the St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.

The family kindly request that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or any organization of your choice.
