Karissa Joyce Hurst

Karissa Joyce Hurst, age 10, of Borden, Indiana, died Saturday July 2, 2011 at Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Borden. She was a Girl Scout at the Community Montessor Charter School and a member of the SIG's All-Star Cheerleaders. Survivors Include; parents, Rick L. Hurst and Lori A. (Johnson) Hurst of Borden; 1 brother, Kamden Hurst of Borden; 1 sister, Kaylee Hurst of Borden; Paternal Grandparents, Jim and Joan Dethy of Borden; Maternal Grandparents, Joe and Peggy Johnson of Fremont, IN.; 1 Aunt, Lisa (Steve) VanElla of Lake Havasu City Arizona; 1 cousin, Wyatt VanElla of Lake Havasu City. Proceded in death by Paternal Grandfather Ronald L. Hurst. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at the First Christian Church of Borden. Viewing will be from 11:00 AM until time of service Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Pleasent Ridge Cemetery. Brother Joe Franklin will officiate.
