Justin A. Nicholson

Justin A. Nicholson, age 45, of Salem, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026 in Lake Placid, Florida. Born March 30, 1980 in Salem, he was the son of Christopher and Jennifer Nicholson and Jeannia Burnett and Thomas Lockard.

Justin enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors. He especially loved hunting, fishing, working on cars, and was in the process of starting his own mechanic shop.

Justin is survived by his wife, Joyce (Welch) Nicholson; 2 children: Joshua (Kaitlin) Wagner and Sarah Wagner (Jermey Feuerstin); 2 sisters: Jaime Nicholson and Hannah Black; grandparents: Barbara Payne and Roosevelt Nicholson; 3 grandchildren: Livia and Sebastion Wagner and Jedidiah Feuerstin; and 3 nephews: Conner Mauldin, Gavin Nicholson and Maddox Nicholson-Strother.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee Edward Payne and Nancy Morgan.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Chapel & Celebration Center, 1500 E. RC Morris Drive, Salem, Indiana 47167, with Dave Wolkow officiating.  Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at Cornerstone.
