June Marie Nelson

June Marie Nelson, age 75 of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at her residence. Born March 4, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Byrd and Mary (Williams) Byrd. On May 26, 1971 she married Gary Nelson, who survives.

June was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Nelson; 4 children: Jamie Nelson McClain, Laura Nelson, Chad Nelson and Chris Nelson; 1 brother: Charles Byrd; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 brothers and sisters.

A private service was chosen.
