Juanita Laverne (Brewer) Hasty

Juanita Laverne Hasty, age 76, of Coatsville Indiana died at St. Vincent Salem Hospital on January 2, 2015 after a sudden onset of Cancer. She was born November 17, 1938 in Lawrence County, Indiana. She was the daughter of John H. and Esther L. Brewer of Campbellsburg, they precede her in death. She graduated from Campbellsburg High School in 1956 and retired from Harding-Dalm Real Estate Management in Indianapolis. She loved country music and had written several songs recorded by her husband. She has resided on the farm in Putnam County Indiana since her retirement. She married Pet Wendell Hasty of Salem Indiana in 1956 and he preceded her in death. Her survivors include sons: Wendell Dewayne Hasty of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, Robert Eugene Hasty of Brazil, Indiana and a daughter; Deborah Diane Mitchell of Greencastle, Indiana. Also surviving are siblings, Wilma R. Vines of Alexandria, Alabama; James C. Brewer of Bedford, Indiana; John W. (Leanna) Brewer of Bloomington, Indiana; Judy M. (Ken) Barrett of Charlestown, Indiana; Grandson and caregiver J.R. Hasty; grandsons Hunter Mitchell, Austin Mitchell, Matt Hasty, Robert Hasty, and granddaughters Nicky Hamilton, Ashley Hasty and Ann Hasty. She will be sorely missed by us all. The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM Sunday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 1:30 PM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hopp Cemetery. Bro.
