Joyce P. (Gray) Elliott

Joyce P. Elliott, age 87, of Salem, passed away on April 29, 2014 at the Meadow View Health and Rehab Center in Salem. Born on September 14, 1926 in Pekin, Indiana, she was the daughter of Herman N. Gray and Rowena B. (Terrell) Gray. On February 14, 1948, she married Loren M. Elliott. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Canton United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Group, and Friendly Homemaker's Club. Survivors include; 1 son, Mark Elliott (Barbara) of Salem; 2 brothers, Bruce Gray and Donald Gray both of Salem; 1 sister, Sandra Sue Nichols of Salem; 2 grandsons, Travis Elliott (Beth) of New Albany, and Eric Elliott (Caroline) of Louisville; 4 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: parents, husband. The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Thursday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday and from 9:00 AM Thursday until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Franklin Cemetery. Bro. Ken Woolsey will officiate.
