John "Wayne" Terrell

John "Wayne" Terrell, age 63, of Pekin passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital.  Born August 22, 1959, he was the son of the late John Terrell and Barbara (Firkin) Terrell who survives.

Wayne was a brick mason and former owner and operator of Terrell Masonry and was currently employed with AML Construction; he was a deacon of the First Baptist Church of Pekin.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Ann (Bishop) Terrell; mother, Barbara Terrell; 2 sons: Bradley Wayne Terrell (Holly) and Jeremy John Terrell (Erin); 1 brother: Charles Walter Terrell; 1 sister: Deborah Sue Allgeier; and 7 grandchildren: Sidney Terrell, Grace Terrell, Gus Terrell, Emma Hedrick, Alex Hedrick, John Hedrick, and Marcus Terrell.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Terrell.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Pekin with Jeffrey Bishop officiating.  Visitation will be held Thursday, May 4, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Pekin Chapel and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.  Burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
