John Richard Edds Jr.

John Richard Edds Jr, 80, of Borden, Indiana passes away on November 30, 2023 with family by his side.

John was born on September 4, 1943, to Ida Mae (Weakley) Edds and John Edds Sr. in La Grange, Kentucky. John graduated from the University of Louisville with a Masters in Business Administration. He retired from a successful career at Brown-Forman.

John was married to Judy (Catlett) Edds for more than sixty years. Together, they had three children: Richard (Joyce), Michael “Todd” (Evelyn), and Teri (Steve). John enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycles, working crossword puzzles, and watching Nascar.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Richard Edds Sr. and Ida Mae (Weakly), and his children Michael “Todd” Edds and Teri Leonard. He is survived by his wife Judy, his sister Bertha Haddock; his son Richard Edds (Joyce); his five grandchildren: Megan Rogers (Brent), Samatha Edds (Jared Parrish), Danielle Blalock (AG), Sara Dixon (Barry), and Kira Leonard (Vance Satterfield); his seven great grandchildren: Carmen, Thomas, Charlotte, Emerson, Havannah, Aliza and Colton; and close family friend: William “Bill” Bacot.

As per John’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
