Joan Baxter

Joan Baxter, age 89, of Salem, Indiana passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Meadow View Health & Rehabilitation-ASC in Salem.  Born October 25, 1931 in Greenfield, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Charles McClammer and Odessa Mae (Williams) McClammer.  On October 17, 1954, she married the late Roy W. Baxter.

Joan is survived by 1 son, Dennis Baxter (Janet); 1 daughter, Debbie Phelps; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Baxter; parents, Charles and Odessa McClammer; and 1 son, Larry Baxter.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Salem Chapel; visitation will be held Tuesday, May 25, from 12:00 noon until time of service at the funeral home.  Burial to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
