Jesse M. Carter

Jesse M. Carter age 84 of Borden, Indiana passed away Friday March 5, 2010 at 5:10 PM at the Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. Born on December 20, 1925 he was the son of the late Bruce Carter and Rosa Costin Carter. He was a retired forklift operator for International Harvester Co. of Louisville after 31 years of service. He was also a United States Navy Veteran. On May 11, 1946 he married Virginia Wyman Carter, she survives. Others survivors include one son, J. Michael Carter of Borden, IN; one daughter Brenda F. Miller of Greensburg, IN;one sister, Bertha Hall of Borden, IN; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Monday March 8, 2010 at the Borden Church of Christ. Viewing will be Sunday from 3-8 PM at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Borden and from 11:00 AM until time of service on Monday at the church. Brother Scott Reeder will officiate. Burial will be at the Martinsburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Borden Community Foundation or the Borden Church of Christ.
