Jeremy Dewayne Coats, age 33, of Salem, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025 at his residence. Born October 18, 1991 in New Albany, he was the son of Randall Coats and Marilyn Ruth (Biggs) Coats.
Jeremy attended First Christian Church in Scottsburg.
He is survived by his parents, Randall and Marilyn Coats; son, Isaiah Coats; sister, Tonya Coats; and grandmother, Lois Coats.
He was preceded in death by his niece, Faith Coats.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Salem Chapel with Toney Voyles officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Franklin Cemetery.
