Jeffery Wayne Purlee

Jeffery Wayne Purlee, age 57, of Salem, Indiana passed away on July 26, 2019 at his residence. Born October 26, 1961 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of Maurice Eugene Purlee and Ruby Eunice Emerson who are both deceased.

Jeff was retired from Cottongim Enterprises. He was a member and Deacon of Mt. Hebron Church.

Survivors include his wife, Amy (Payne) Purlee; son, Jason Michael Porter (Natasha Humphrey); 2 brothers, Philip Dean Purlee (Melinda) and Paul Thomas Purlee; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Porter; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Monday at 11:00 AM at Mt. Hebron Church near Little York. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6 PM at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem and Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Brother Rodney Sweeney will officiate.
