Jamie Lynn Johnson, Sr.

Jamie Lynn Johnson, Sr., age 42, of Campbellsburg, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. Jamie was born January 13, 1973 in Salem, Indiana to James and Judy (Harrold) Johnson.  Jamie worked in construction and farming.  He attended Carters Creek Christian Church.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, horseback riding, campfires, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are his father and mother of Campbellsburg; a son, Jamie Johnson, Jr., of Louisville; sister Joyce (Lance) McCool of Lawrenceburg; two nieces, Allie and Ashley McCool; his dog, Speckles; many, many close aunts, uncles, family, and friends. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem with Pastors Todd Murphy and Phillip McDonald officiating.  Burial will follow in Saltillo Cemetery.  Friends are invited to the visitation on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to his son's education fund at the funeral home or to the Cure Pancreatic Cancer Foundation at curePC.org.
