Irvin Howard Brough

Irvin Howard Brough, age 88, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024 at his residence. Born August 18, 1936 he was the son of the late Oren Elmo Brough and Wilma Elizabeth (Richards) Brough. On April 12, 1975 he married Nina (Spangler) Brough, who survives.

Irvin was a Butcher for Brough/Newlons Community Store with 40+ years of service. He was a member of the Pekin Church of Christ and American Legion Post 203.

Irvin is survived by his wife, Nina Brough; 3 children: Tim Brough, Jackie Thorlton (Jim) and Diedre Ragains (Jared); 6 grandchildren: Amber Johnson, Siera McEwen, Dara Nash, Taylor Fraley, Mariah Thorlton, Shelby Ferguson and 9 great grandchildren: Josh Johnson, Hailey Johnson, Stella McEwen, Liam Nash, Harlow Nash, Bennett Fraley, Sutton Fraley, Jack Fraley and Josiah Cranfill.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 son, Howie Brough.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, at 11:00 A.M. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home- Pekin chapel with Jeremy Goen Officiating. Burial to follow at Martinsburg Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be on Monday, September 16, from 4:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. at Hughes- Taylor Funeral Home – Pekin Chapel and 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
