Hubble Potter

Hubble Potter, age 84, of Pekin passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at his residence.  Born June 3, 1938 in Neon, Kentucky, Hubble was the son of the late Isaac E. Potter and Cletis (Kiser) Potter.

Hubble was a retired coal miner; was a member of Solid Rock Community Church in Scottsburg; and was an Air Force Veteran.

He is survived by 4 children: Trina Fleming (Timothy), Duane Potter (Liz), Tracey Branham (Raymond), and John Potter (Virginia); 1 sister: JoyLeen Jovonavich; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Issac and Cletis Potter; his wife of 58 years, Ruth Potter, who preceded him in death on July 24, 2017; 1 brother, Luther Potter; and 1 sister, Lois Jean Potter.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Pekin Chapel with Mike Schuler officiating.  Visitation will be held Thursday, October 20, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  Burial with full military honors to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
