Helen Kay (Harrold) Hurst

Helen Kay Hurst. age 81 of Campbellsburg passed away Sunday May 28, 2023 at University of Louisville Hospital. Born on March 11, 1942 in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Russell E. Harrold and Hazel C. Dowling. On June 3, 1961, she married William "Bill" Hurst who survives.

Helen was retired from Helsel Manufacturing in Campbellsburg. She was a 1961 Salem High School graduate. She was a member of Sugar Creek Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Hurst; daughter, Susie Hurst; 2 brothers, Marvin Harrold and Jerry Harrold; sister, Judy Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, Russell Harrold and Hazel Dowling, and sister, Dorothy Quinlin.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Salem Chapel. Visitation will be held Wednesday  from 4-8 PM, and Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Smedley Cemetery. Brother Todd Murphy will officiate.
