Havannah Michelle Balentine

Havannah Michelle "Skip" Balentine, age 19, of Pekin, Indiana, passed away on January 24, 2015 at the University of Louisville Hospital. She was born on October 27, 1995 in Floyd Memorial Hospital. She was a student at Ivy Tech. She was employed at the JayC store in Sellersburg. She was a 2014 graduate of Eastern High School, where she was a short stop for the Lady Musketeers softball team. Survivors include: parents, Richard and Michelle (Taylor) Balentine of Pekin; grandparents, Jerry and Nancy Taylor of Pekin, and Ernie and Jane Balentine of Pekin: great grandmother, Alice Voyles of Salem; aunts and uncles, Patricia Taylor of Salem, Bill Batchelor of Salem, Donnie and Jeanine Balentine of Pekin, and Danny Balentine of Evansville, Julie and David Jenkins of Pekin; 5 cousins, Elizabeth and Lisa Batchelor both of Salem, and Madeline Balentine of Evansville, and Sarah and Steven Jenkins of Pekin. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
