Grace (Mckinley) Martin

Grace Martin, 89, of Borden passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Maple Manor Christian Home. Born September 30, 1935 in Borden, she was the daughter of the late Ernest McKinley and Bertha (Kelly) McKinley. On June 1, 1953, she married Randall Martin who preceded her in death on January 20, 2001.

Grace was a life-long resident of Borden; was a co-owner of Martin's Grocery Store; and was a life-long member of Borden Church of Christ.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Connie Dietrich (Thomas) and Janice Carter (David); 5 grandchildren: Robert Dietrich (Joan), Benjamin Dietrich (Corbin), Tadd Dietrich (Kristin), Jessica Emmons, and Daniel Carter (Caroline); 1 niece: Myra Wright Powell (Greg); and 6 great grandchildren: Victor, Vincent, Foster, Ladson, Finn, and Avery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Bertha McKinley; husband, Randall; sister, Lenora Wright; and brother-in-law, Ottis Wright.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Borden Chapel with Earl Mullins officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Martinsburg Cemetery.
