Gloria June (Purlee) Lowe

Gloria June Lowe, age 81, of Salem, formally of New Castle IN., died at 10:46 PM on April 3, 2012 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville. Born on March 18, 1931, in Pekin, IN., she was the daughter of the late Lotus Purlee and Flossie (Wingler) Purlee. She was a retired LPN at the State Hospital in New Castle, IN. Survivors include: 1 son, Ray Bateman of Shelbyville,IN.; 2 sisters, Opal Denton of Salem and Linda Craig of Scottsburg; 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Proceded in death by: 1 son, Ricky Bateman; 1 brother Chester Purlee. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem.
