Gladys C. Huckleberry

Gladys C. Huckleberry age 99, of Salem, passed away Sunday January 31, 2010 at 8:40 PM at the waters of Salem. Born on July 15, 1910 in Pekin, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Christopher Columbus Hedrick and Anna Gertrude (Bierly) Hedrick. She married Howard Huckleberry on March 26, 1954, who precedes her in death. She retired from Smith Cabinet factory, and she was a member of the Pekin Church of Christ. She was also a member of the American Legion Womens Auxillary of Salem. Survivors include; 2 Daughters; Naomi Schneck of Little York, Indiana, and Glenda Keith of Salem, Indiana. 7 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by Husband, 4 Brothers, 7 Sisters, 1 Son. The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM on Tuesday and after 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Eden Cemetery near Little York. Rodney Sweeney will officiate.
