Gerald Lee Hardy

Gerald Lee Hardy, 79, of Salem, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family.  Born October 11, 1945 in Osgood, Indiana, he was the son of the late Henry and Dixie (Sparks) Hardy.  On October 5, 1968, he married Donna Rae (Ditmer) Hardy, who survives.

Gerald honorably served his country in the United States Army, and a Vietnam veteran.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Donna; his sons: Chad Hardy and Clint Hardy; 2 sisters: Shirley Berrie and Barbara Comer; and 7 grandchildren: Alix, Damon, Arina, Abigail, Karissa, Allyson and Harrison.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Paul Hardy.

Committal service with full military honors will be held on Monday, October 28, at 11 a.m. at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
