Geneva Ruth Jackson
March 26, 1932 — September 3, 2022
Geneva Ruth Jackson, age 90, of Pekin passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Salem Crossing. Born March 26, 1932 in Pekin, she was the daughter of the late Ed Atkins and Ethel (Blevins) Atkins.
Geneva was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She is survived by 4 children: Darlinia Rickert, Carolyn Sanders, Brenda Fitzpatrick, and Dennis Sanders; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Ethel Atkins; husbands, Paul Jackson and John Sanders, and a great-great grandson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Pekin Chapel. Visitation will be held Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
