Gary Alan Blackman

Gary Alan Blackman, age 74, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on December 3, 2017 at his residence. Born on March 26, 1943 in New Albany, Indiana, he was the son of the late Delbert Blackman & Doris (Loughmiller) Blackman. Gary was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army. He was a retired FAA Aviation Safety Inspector Supervisor. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pekin. Survivors include his son, Todd Alan Blackman & wife, Beth; daughter, Tonya Ann Blackman; 3 grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Veletta Kay (Purciful) Blackman; brother, Larry Blackman. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday at the First Baptist Church of Pekin. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Thursday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Borden, & Friday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Martinsburg Cemetery.
