Gale Allen Hunt

Gale Allen Hunt, age 69, of Salem, Indiana passed away on November 8, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital, New Albany. Born on November 14, 1946 in Bedford, Indiana, he was the son of the late William Hunt and Catherine (Benson) Hunt. Gale was a retired mechanic & electrician. He served 24 years with the Indiana National Guards. He was a member of the American Legion Post 41, V.F.W. Post 9107 in Mitchell, and a member of the Salem Masonic Lodge #21. Survivors include his wife, Rhea Dawn (Chastain) Hunt of Salem; 2 sons, Bob Hunt of Salem, and Chris Hunt, and his wife Tara of Salem; 4 grandchildren. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Friday, Masonic Service at 7:00, and Saturday viewing from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
