Frank W Hartshorne

Frank W. Hartshorne Jr, age 83, of Salem, passed away at his residence on Sunday, November 19, 2023.  Born October 20, 1940, he was the son of Frank W. Hartshorne Sr and Mary Jane Hartshorne.

On May 30, 1959, Frank married Sylvia (Feidner) Hartshorne, who survives.

Frank was a computer programmer and retired from Liberty National Bank in Louisville.

Frank is survived by his wife, Sylvia Hartshorne; his 2 children: Crystal Humphrey (Richard) and David Hartshorne (Nancy); 6 grandchildren: Lena Wright, Dale Absher Jr, Leslie Sherer, Richard B Humphrey, Hannah Hartshorne, and Mark Hartshorne; and 4 great-grandchildren: Corbin Ballard, Alanna Ballard, Waylon Hartshorne and Delaney Pitts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr and Mary Hartshorne; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and 1 daughter, Amanda Hartshorne.

Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 26, at 2:00 p.m. at the American Legion in Sellersburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana.
