Evelyn M. Newby

Evelyn Newby of Salem, passed away Thursday July 10, 2008, at The Waters of Salem, at the age of 89. Born: November 20, 1918 in Jeffersonville, In. She was the Daughter of the late James Andrew Boyle and Lillian (Pennington) Boyle. She married Ernest Howard Newby in October 9, 1937,who precedes her in death. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, and a member of The Salem Chapter #286 Order of the Easter Star. Survivors include: 2 Sons: Alan (Conni) Newby of Marion, IN. and Mark Newby of Salem, IN. 2 Daughters: Carol (Bill) Newman of Venice, FL. and Marsha (Glenn) Daugherty. 4 Grandchildren: Craig Alan Newby, Stephanie Bender, Jenna Daugherty, and Kirsten Daugherty. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Saturday and after 11:00 AM Sunday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be the at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Cemetery. Brother Mike Mc. Carty will officiate.
