Dorothy Casey

Dorothy Casey, age 85, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.  Born February 15, 1939, she was the daughter of John and Gertrude (Meredith) Hawkins.

Dorothy worked at Stumbler’s Orchard in the 1970’s, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Borden.

Dorothy is survived by 2 children: Doris Hardy and John Casey; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Casey; her daughter, Barbara Casey; 3 sons: Gary Casey, Richard “Richie” Casey, and Junior Casey; 1 brother and 6 sisters.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home – Borden Chapel, with Brother Mike Sargent officiating.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
