Doris R. (Anderson) Mcclure

Doris Ruth McClure, age 85, of Borden passed away peacefully at Maple Manor Christian Home of Sellersburg on Sunday June 2, 2019.

Doris was born on October 6, 1933 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Charles and Lula Mae (Dawson) Anderson. On September 4, 1949 she married William M. McClure. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1995.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Doris formerly worked at The Louisville Bedding Company as a quilter. She was a member of the Borden Baptist Church.

Doris leaves behind two daughters: Robin (Jack) Hurst of Borden and Tami (Steve) Fordyce of Borden; three grandchildren: Morgan Arington, Lindsay Reich, and Joseph Hurst; four great-grandchildren: Paige and Mason Arington, and Jackson and Dawson Reich; and two brothers: Kenneth Anderson and Steve Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 46 years, her parents, two brothers: Bill Anderson and Bob Anderson, and two sisters: Louise Smith and Wanda Shepperd.

Visitation will be at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home of Borden on Friday June 7, 2019 from 2:00-6:00 pm

A funeral service will follow visitation at 6:00pm on Friday at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home of Borden with Brother Mike Sargent officiating.

Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery of Borden.
