Donald Wayne Laws

Donald Wayne Laws, age 59, of Pekin, passed away December 5, 2013 at St. Vincent's Salem Hospital. Born on June 25, 1954, he was the son of Wayne James Laws and Wilma Jean (Johnson) Laws both survive and live in Statesville North Carolina. On February 25, 1983 he married Karen (Wheatley) Lawes, she survives and lives in Pekin. He was a Marine Veteran. He was a Carpenter by trade. Other survivors include: 1 son, David Wayne Laws of Mt. Vernon Kentucky; 1 daughter, Kimberly Diane Laws of Pekin; 2 brothers, James Michael Laws, and Mark Laws both of North Carolina; 2 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be at 6:00 PM Sunday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 2-6 PM Sunday at the funeral home. www.hughestaylor.net
