Deborah Jean Jackson, age 73, of Salem, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026 at her residence. Born August 29, 1952 in Scottsburg (Little York), she was the daughter of the late Humphrey Craig McCauley and Geneva Eileen (Sturgeon) McCauley. On July 5, 1986 she married Dr. Michael Edward Jackson who preceded her in death.
Deborah is survived by her daughter, Hannah Michelle McCauley-Jackson (Cole Chrisbacher); and 3 sisters: Diana Bush, Denise McCauley, and Donna Colley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Humphrey and Geneva McCauley; husband, Dr. Michael Jackson; and 2 brothers: Dwight McCauley and Dale McCauley.
Per Deborah's wishes, cremation was chosen; Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home was entrusted with funeral care.
