Clara Jane "Mema" King, age 79, met her Lord and Saviour Face to Face on Sunday May 23, 2010 at the Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. She was a Life long resident of Borden. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Borden where she taught Sunday school, Womens Bible Study and Vacation Bible School for many years. Survivors include; 2 sons, Roland (Kathy) King of Borden, Steve King of New Albany; Daughter-In-Law Sharon King of Jeffersonville; 1 grandson, David King of Jeffersonville; 3 grand daughter, Carrie Anne (Jason) Hall, Angela (Chris) Keith, and Sarah King all of Borden; 4 great grandchildren, Jonah, Gracee, and Claire Hall and Zander Keith all of Borden; 1 brother, Richard "Dick" (Jan) Waggoner of Ft. Meyers, FL; 1 sister, Betty (Ron) Structemeyer of Booneville, MO. Preceded in death; parents, John and Lois (Byerly) Waggoner; husband, David King; 1 son, Ted King; 2 sisters Rebecca (infant) and Darylene Balentine. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at the First Christian Church in Borden. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Tuesday and from 12-8 PM Wednesday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Borden. And from 10:00 AM until time of service on Thursday at the church. Burial will be at the Walnut Hill Cemetery. Brother Joe Franklin will officiate. Donations may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund.
