Chester Adams White, age 74, of Pekin, Indiana, passed away August 18, 2013 at his residence. Born on March 4, 1939 in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of William Clifford White III and Alice Adams White. On September 7, 1957, he married Barbara Marie (Jekel) White, who survives.
He was retired from Advance Material Handling in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a Deacon and member of the First Christian Church in Salem. He was a member of the Jaycees in Kentucky, Louisville Chapter and Arkansas, Jonesboro Chapter.
Survivors include: wife; 2 sons, David Lee White of Floyds Knobs and Clifford Adams White of Pekin; 2 daughters, Rebecca Watters of Palmyra and Linda Darling White of Floyds Knobs; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at the First Christian Church in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem, and after 10:00 AM Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Pekin. Brother Tom Mullins will officiate.
