Chester L. Owens

Chester L. Owens, age 89, of Salem, passed away May 11, 2013 at the Salem Crossing Nursing Home. Born on March 13, 1924, he was the son of the late Roy Owens and Blanch Owens. On April 8, 1947, he married Ora Lee Owens, she procedes  him in death. He was a Civil Engineer. He graduated from Purdue University. Formally employed with the Army Corp of Engineers, Folz Construction, Ryan Brothers Construction, and Ohio Valley Construction. He was a Navy Veteran serving in WWII & Korean War. Survivors include: 2 sons, Chester R. Owens of Kentucky and Roland T. Owens of Virginia; 1 daughter, Rhonda Owens of New York; 8 grandchildren. Proceded in death by 1 son, Randy Owens. There will be a Full Military Graveside service 2:00 PM on Tuesday at the Winslow Cemetery. www.hughestaylor.net
