Charles "Bob" Hardy

Charles "Bob" Hardy age 86, of Borden, Indiana, passed away Friday May 20, 2016 at Meadow View Health & Rehab Center in Salem. He was born on May 1, 1930 in Borden. Bob was a member of the Borden Baptist Church. He was a former Borden Town Marshall. Survivors include: 3 sons, Anthony Hardy, Bobby Hardy, and Jim Hardy; 4 daughters, Anna Roningen, Pauletta Freed, Reba Sargent, and Jennifer Ripley; step-daughter, Nancy Kennedy; sister, Mary Rose Martin; 22 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: parents, Charles Edward Hardy and Bertha (Ackers) Hardy; wife Virginia (South) Hardy; wife Catherine Hardy; daughter, Patty Hardy; grandson, Gregory Hardy; 4 sisters. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Borden. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Borden. Brother Mike Sargent. www.hughestaylor.net
