Charles O. Crane

Charles O. Crane, age 93, of Borden, Indiana passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 at his residence.  Born on November 30, 1926 in Orleans, Indiana, he was the son of the late Charles and Bethel (Young) Crane.

Charles was a military Veteran having received Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, WW II Victory, and Good Conduct medals; he was a retired laborer and mechanic; a member of the American Legion; and a member of the International Church of God.

Charles is survived by 4 sons: Charles N., Matthew L., Walter S., and Richard Aaron Crane; 2 daughters: Cathy D. Murphy and Melissa A. Pixley; 2 brothers: Arvil and Olen Crane; 2 sisters: Helen Bierly and Ellen Maupin; 23 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and former wife, Laura J. Crane.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen (Thompson) Crane; 2 brothers: James and Marvin Crane; and 1 sister: Edith Cooper.

Direct cremation was chosen.

Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
