Charlene Tullis

Charlene Tullis, age 75, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2026 in New Albany. Born October 3, 1950 in New Albany, she was the daughter of Clarence and Tennessee Louise (Perry) McKillip.
Charlene was married to JR Tullis, her late husband of 50 years and was a proud teacher in Special Education at the East Washington School.
She is survived by her three children: Aaron (Shannon) Tullis, Josh Tullis (Samantha Stensrud) and Nathan (Tabatha) Tullis; along with 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother: Jerry McKillip; and two sisters: Mary Serianni and Donna McKillip.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00 p. m. until the time of service.
