Cecil B Carey

Cecil B. Carey, age 87 of Salem, died at 7 :00 AM Wednesday December 7, 2011 at his residence. Born on October 5, 1924 in Shelbyville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Benjiman Harrison Carey and Iva May (Pollett) Carey. In 1950 he married Ruth Laverne (Stivers) Carey. He retired from Thermal Gas Co. of Corydon after working 28 years in the gas business. Survivors include; 3 sons, Michael Carey, Patrick Carey and Eddie Carey all of Salem, Indiana; 1 daughter, Linda Carey of Salem, Indiana; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Proceded in death by; wife, 1 daughter Melissa Carey. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 Friday and Saturday from 11 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Brother Bob Holler will officiate. Burial will be at Blue River Friends Cemetery.
