Carroll Nelson Wilcox

Carroll Nelson Wilcox, age 97, of Campbellsburg passed away on February 27, 2010 at the waters of Salem. Born on December 18, 1912, he was the son of the late Hiram Ulysses Wilcox and Holly Hester Baker Wilcox. On June 8, 1935, he married Lillian (Nicholson) Wilcox, who survives. He was a retired farmer and construction worker supervisor. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Christian Church. He was also a member of the Rob Morris Masonic Lodge #282 in Campbellsburg, and the Lions Club of Campbellsburg. Survivors include one son, Robert (Martha) E. Wilcox of Campbellsburg; one grandson, Robin (Jenny) Wilcox of Sellersburg; one great-granddaughter Madeleine Wilcox of Sellersburg; one brother, Paul Howard Wilcox of Scottsburg; one sister, Mary Ellan Cabage of Venice Florida; one daughter-in-law, Alma Marie Wilcox of Campbellsburg. Proceded in death by three sons; one daughter; 4 brothers. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Mt. Carmel Christian Church. Viewing will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
