Carol Marie Thompson

Carol Marie Thompson, age 51, of Salem passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent Salem Hospital.  Born November 12, 1969 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Jerry Lee Carson and Angelia Fay Isaacs Gordon.

Carol was a former CNA at Meadow View Health & Rehab.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Thomas Edward Balough; 1 grandson, Carson Foster Spears; and 1 brother, Christopher Woodrow Carson.

Carol is survived by her husband, Tom Thompson; 3 daughters: Samantha Lynn Balough, Jessica Lee Balough, and Jennifer Marie Mares; 1 brother, Jerry Lee Carson, Jr; 1 sister, Tawyna Treadway; and 6 grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Salem Chapel.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 27, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  Burial to follow in Peugh Cemetery.
