Carl Robinson Sr.

Carl Robinson Sr, age 85, of Scottsburg, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. Born December 9, 1940 in Manchester, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Levi and Della (Gross) Robinson.

Carl is survived by his two brothers: Larry and Brice Robinson; one sister: Sue Gajewski; three grandchildren: Nathan Robinson, Tyler Robinson-McClellan and Taylor Hayes; along with six great-grandchildren that also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, along with his wife: Edith (Davidson) Robinson; one son: Carl Robinson Jr; four brothers: Cleveland Robinson, Levi Robinson Jr, Willard Robinson, and Lenzy Robinson; four sisters: Oma Harris, Mossie Madden, Charlene Dezarn and Flossie Hensley.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home - Salem Chapel with Damon Spurgeon officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, June 15, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial to follow in Gater Cemetery near Little York.
