Bodine Voyles

Bodine Voyles, age 92, of Borden, died Thursday at his residence. He was born on Feb. 24, 1916 to the late David and Emma (Norris) Voyles. He was a member of the Borden Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters: Joan Dethy, and her husband Jim, and Elsie Stewart and her husband Barry; seven grandchildren: Greg Roerk and his wife Donna, Jody Roerk, Terry Roerk, Jamie Roerk and his wife Laura, Tawneen Roemmich, Major Stephen Jordan and his wife Jeanine, Rick Hurst and his wife Lori; two step grandchildren: Kim Banet and her husband Jeff, Jeff Dethy and his wife Stephanie; four caretakers: Betty Gibson, Sarah Elliott, Marilyn Sons, and Jo Ann Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Voyles, and daughter, Jean Metcalf. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Borden Church of Christ. Burial will be at Olive Branch Cemetery. Viewing will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Borden, and after 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the church.
