Bobby R. Adkins

Bobby R. Adkins, age 69, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on July 6, 2017 at St. Vincent Salem Hospital. He was born on November 5, 1947 in Pikeville, Kentucky. Bobby was retired from Ford Motor Plant in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a member of Westside Church of Christ in Salem. Survivors include his wife, Ella Sue (Davidson) Adkins; 2 sons, Stephen Robinson, & Russell (Kathy)Adkins; daughter, Kristina (Mike) Gibson; 3 brothers, David (Janet) Adkins, Gary (Janice) Adkins, & Bert (Carolyn) Adkins; 3 sisters, Bonnie Evaline, Sue (Jim) Soliday, & Kathy (Billy) Humphrey; 8 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Whetsel & Zettie (Calhoun) Adkins; 2 brothers, Carlos & Bill Adkins. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Monday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Sunday, and Monday from 9 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. George Parsley will officiate.
