Billy Joe Jenkins, age 61, of Vallonia, formerly of Salem, died on August 9, 2014 at the Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. He was a Retired Superintendent for Welco & CSL of New Albany. He was a member of the Faith Southern Baptist Church near Vallonia. Survivors include: wife, Mary (Wade) Jenkins of Vallonia; 3 sons, Dean Jenkins (Tuesday) of Fargo ND, Shawn Jenkins (Shaunette) of Pekin, Steven Wade (Jessica) of New Albany; 2 daughters, Anna Dawn Jenkins of Vallonia, and Airelle Ann Jenkins of Vallonia; parents, Billy Jenkins and Vivian M. (Weathers) Jenkins both of Milltown; 1 brother, Roger Jenkins (Judy) of Milltown; 1 sister, Vicki Miley (Bill) of Milltown; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Faith Southern Baptist Church near Vallonia. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Monday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem, and from noon until time of service Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Franklin Cemetery.
