Betty Kearney

Betty Kearney, age 88, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Charlestown Place Rehab in New Albany. Born July 27, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Leola Potts.
Betty was formerly employed at the G.E. Appliance plant in Louisville.
Betty is survived by 4 children: Kim Slone, Robin Bates, Tammy Johnson and Keata Jo Jones; and several grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer & Leola Potts; her husband, James Michael Kearney Sr; 1 son, Timothy Slone; 1 daughter, Stacey Slone; 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 16, at 11 a.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home – Borden Chapel with Alan Ball officiating; burial to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 15, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
