Betty Joan (Batt) Sullivan

Betty Joan Sullivan, 89, of Salem, Indiana passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24, 2017. She was born on July 23, 1927 in Salem, Indiana and known to many as Joan or Jo. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Joan was always very active in her church, first at First Christian and then later at Mt. Tabor Christian Church, teaching Sunday School, volunteering every summer at church camp, and leading women’s groups. She was a core member of The Ladies Aid where she helped sew hundreds of quilts. Joan had a passion for cooking and a deep love for children. She influenced and blessed a multitude in her lifetime. Joan is survived by her two daughters Brenda Rose and Linda Keith, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Tabor Christian Church on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Visitation will begin at 2pm with service to follow at 4pm and burial at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Online expressions: www.hughestaylor.net
