Bertha (Carter) Hall

Bertha Hall, age 90, of Borden, passed away on April 21, 2013 at the University of Louisville Stroke Center after a brief illness. Born on October 31, 1922 in Henryville, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Bruce Carter and Rosa Costin Carter. On June 9, 1945, she married Elmer Hall who proceeded her in death. She was a member of the Borden Church of Christ. She was retired from ICI and a Homemaker. Survivors include; 1 daughter, Susan E. Porter of Sellersburg, IN.; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by; 1 son, Eugene "Red" Hall, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Borden Church of Christ. Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Borden and Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Brother Scott Reeder will officiate. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made the Borden Church of Christ. www.hughestaylor.net
