Arthur Samuel Holloway, age 87, of Salem passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021. Born May 17, 1934 in Galax, Virginia, he was the son of the late Joseph Samuel Holloway and Martha (Spicer) Pittman.
Arthur was a retired carpenter with American Home & Hardware in Maryland.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle (Brown) Holloway; 3 children: Joseph L. Holloway (Christin), Debra Meredith (Jeffrey), and Janie Goldsberry (Dennis); 1 sister: Rose Ann Jordan; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 2 sisters.
Services will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Salem Chapel; visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
