February 23, 1981 — September 13, 2022
Amanda Staples, age 41, of Salem passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. Born February 23, 1981 in New Albany, she was the daughter of the late Ronald McCowan and Pauletta Fritts (Donald Fritts) who survives.
Amanda loved camping with her friends at Red River Gorge Geological Area in Kentucky and especially loved her dogs, Archer and Thor.
She is survived by her mother, Pauletta Fritts; step-father, Donald Fritts; and brother, Allan McCowan.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald McCowan, and a brother, Paul House.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Pekin Chapel. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
